DOG DAYS OF SUMMER is a group exhibition celebrating dogs in all their humor, weirdness, beauty, chaos, loyalty, movement, companionship, and personality. We’re looking for artwork that captures the many ways dogs become part of our identities, routines, relationships, communities, and everyday lives.
We’re seeking dog-inspired work across painting, photography, illustration, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, textile art, and contemporary or experimental practices. We welcome both accomplished and emerging artists and hope to create a vibrant exhibition featuring a wide range of artistic styles and perspectives, with artists from Reading, Greater Boston, and across Massachusetts. The exhibition will open with a summer launch celebration on Saturday, July 25 in the afternoon (time TBD), inspired by the energy of a summer block party and community gathering.
